Hiiiii, just a quick post to share Lancome’s Family & Friends Sale with you all. It’s only for a few days! Here’s a link:
Receive 15% Off on any purchase with code FRIENDSFAM at checkout. Ends June 7th.
Some products worth checking out:
- Lancome BiFacil Duo-Phase Eye Makeup Remover – easily cleanses even the most waterproof makeup from the face
- Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara – a great mascara for volume and length, it’s one of their top sellers.
- Lancome Bright Expert Dark Spot Corrector – a great formula that includes SPF makes these an excellent treatment for dark spots. I’ve used deluxe samples of this before and I think it also makes a great base for other makeup.
- Lancome La vie est Belle – While I’m not huge on the EDP, I love the EDT and the EDP Legere of this fragrance. Although overall new to the Lancome fragrances line, La vie est belle is one of the most beautiful fragrances they’ve come out with.
- Lancome Nutrix Royal Body – My favourite body butter! I’ll probably pick up another container during the sale because I’ve used up one and repurchased.
Hiiiiiiie! I just thought today I would share with you ssense.com’s first cut of their semi-annual sale. I picked up some great items last year during the 2nd or 3rd cut (I really lucked out that they were still available/based on my size), but the reason I’m posting the first cut is mostly because items are still refundable (at SSENSE, heavily discounted items are non-refundable (usually anything more than 50% off is final sale)). SSENSE is also a Canadian retailer, so they ship out of Canada and you don’t have to worry about expensive customs fees, just the 13% HST if you live in Ontario like me. Here’s the link to the sale.
Last year (I believe during the 3rd cut), I managed to pick up some designer goodies at some great prices. I actually only got 2 items, but I’m still super pleased with both.
I lucked out on the first one, a silk-cotton blend McQ Alexander McQueen scarf with this awesome “thorn and bug” print. I really like it because it isn’t the typical skull pattern, and I like how versatile it is. It was regular price $395 CAD and I picked it up for $79 CAD – 80% off!! It was an insane deal and I’m amazed I managed to snag it up before they sold out.
This one I just lucked out on size-wise. I also got a Diesel bathing suit (officially titled “black BMBR-Aloha swim shorts”). I had been on the lookout for something like this for tanning but I wanted to find one from a reputable brand (also.. I didn’t want a Speedo, hahaha). Anyway, this little guy was $16 CAD, regularly $55 CAD (about 70% off), and I have no idea how there was still a size “S” in stock.
Anyway, like I said, I just wanted to share with you all in case you wanted to see one of the ways I get designer goods for a great price. I know it is only the first cut now, and even though it is a bit pricier.. sometimes it’s worth it for that return policy. Happy shopping!!
Hey everyone! I’d thought I get back into things with just a quick post about my favourite, most reached-for makeup removers and cleansers, and when I choose to use them. In general, I try to use specific makeup removers for a situation, because I hate to wash my face twice and waste facial cottons! I should state that, in general, I have “normal to oily” skin (or perhaps “combination to oily” skin, as I do get dry patches occasionally).
Now, right now we are at that kind of crossroads between winter and summer (I just did that thing where I described spring but didn’t say spring… ugh), so I may phase some things in and out as the seasons change, but here’s what I’m using now!
Hey everyone! I know I’ve been a little bit missing in action, but I wanted to get back on track with a post about what I’ve been loving. April was a lot for me – exams and a lot of personal stress. It really ruined my mood for blogging, but I’m feeling recharged and ready to go! Here’s what I’ve been loving in April.
Read on to find out the T!
I just wanted to give you the inside scoop on Lise Watier’s annual private sale – I’ve seen in person, and have swatched a lot of these products before, but rarely buy due to the price. This sale has some insane cuts, and includes some of their to-of-the-line products in gift sets for even cheaper. I made like a $150 order this morning and already things that were in my cart while shopping went out of stock (like the Jardin de Givre highlight powder!! So sad!).
Anyway, I’ve posted a picture below – you’ll need to use this link to access the sale! My top picks from this sale are the Lip Kiss Crayon Gloss pencils (they’re so creamy and fairly opaque in most shades), the Duo Shadow & Glitter products, the Bronzing Powder (the outside is all matte and the centre is a totally beautiful gold, but it’s not shimmery or glitter – just metallic), and all of the brushes. Lise Watier brushes are some of my favourite for the price, much better than the Quo ones that are about the same price. I also picked up the Taj Mahal Powder – it’s a really beautiful gold/pink fine shimmering body spray (no scent, it just sprays the powder).
